how come torrent clients have no way of limiting DHT connections

you can limit global connections but it doesnt apply to DHT

but it rapes my connections and my router sucks and when using over 1000 connections

it doesnt matter the total bandwidth but any time modem(not router sorry) uses over 1k connections it starts to fail

apply modem directly to fire

it gets overloaded and stops accepting incoming connections or something and I cant browse the internet
